This is a super simple tutorial to make homemade tea bags for your homegrown or foraged tea blends.

Materials

• coffee filter(s)
• embroidery thread or cotton twine
• stapler
• scissors
• loose tea

Instructions:

• cut the coffee filter into a rectangle by cutting off two sides
• add about a teaspoon of tea
• fold over the two long sides to the middle (making a skinny rectangle)
• bring the two short ends together and tap to drop down the tea
• fold over the two short ends twice
• staple
• lay your thread over the staple and staple again once or twice
